Actor G.W. Bailey to Attend 2010 Gala

Our good friend, Mr. Phil Pampolina, has done it again! Thanks to Phil, actor G.W. Bailey of TNT’s hit series, The Closer, will make a guest appearance at our 2010 Party with a Purpose fundraising gala!

You may remember Mr. Bailey from MASH and Police Academy, and he is currently the Executive Director of The Sunshine Kids, a nonprofit organization based in Houston, Texas.

Phil Pampolina, owner of PRP Entertainment, will also be honored for his loyalty and contributions to JZCBCF over the past eight years.

The gala will take place Saturday, September 25, 2010, at the Bay Area Community Center at Clear Lake Park. Stay tuned for more details!

Paws for a Cause Dog Walk

Join us Sunday, May 2, 2010, as we team up with our furry friends in the fight against children’s bone cancer. One day we will find a cure!

The fun starts at 1 p.m. at the University of Houston – Clear Lake campus. Everyone is welcome – no dog required! Registration is $10 per family.

Update on the Jori Zemel Scholar and Fellowship

We are pleased to announce that the newest Jori Zemel Scholar and Fellowship recipient will join the fight against children’s bone cancer in April! Under the direction of Dr. Dennis Hughes and Dr. Eugenie Kleinerman, fellowship recipients conduct important research to help discover new treatments for osteosarcoma. Help Us Make 2010 a Year to Remember

As we enter into the new year, consider making it a resolution to support JZCBCF. To date, we’ve donated over $440,000 to the Children’s Cancer Hospital at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center to fund research and to provide financial assistance to the children and families battling this disease. By the end of 2010, we want to hit the half a million mark! Can you help us make this happen?
